Birds of Kyrgyzstan

With a wide variety of ecotypes, Kyrgyzstan has a wonderfully diverse array of birds that can be found within its borders.  The regal golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), the quirky hoopoe (Upupa epops), and the evasive ibisbill (Ibidorhynchus struthersii) are three good examples of why people come from all over the world for birding tours here.

Currently, this app project is more geared towards amateurs in order for them to begin building their skill in recognising birds in the field.

A future goal we have for this app is to begin providing audio samples of bird calls to encourage an even deeper understanding of our native birds.
