Tioman Island is a small spot of land off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. The marine waters around the island are all protected and the inland rainforest is also protected as the Pulau Tioman Wildlife Reserve. Endemic species, protected mammals, and a high species diversity make this island an amazing place to study biodiveristy. Ecofieldtrips carries out scientific educational programmes with students from primary school to PhD researchers on this island. Together we are producing a mini-app that will allow them to collect the data they need for their research on the island in an efficient manner.
